Certified Nursing Assistant Program

The CNA program consists of 64 hours of lecture and lab divided into 8 classes and 56 hours of clinical divided into 7 days. Upon completion of the program you will have the skills and knowledge to work in a long-term care facility as a nurse aide. You will also be eligible to take the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Competency exam. The Rapha School, LLC. is a licensed exam center and the exam may be held on location unless otherwise stated.
Admission Requirements:

  • Completed school application
  • A check or money order in the amount of $1,300 made out to The Rapha School, LLC. for the cost of the program unless an agreement has been made by a long-term care facility has been made
    • The $1,300 tuition includes your criminal record check, skills pack, textbook and workbook, uniforms, and licensing exam
  • PA Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) report
  • Physical exam performed no more than a year prior to your application. The exam must include:
    • Evidence of being free of any communicable diseases
    • Evidence of ability to lift at least 50 lbs
    • Evidence of a negative 2-step Mantoux or negative QuantiFeron®-TB Gold. The second Mantoux must be administered between 7 and 12  days of the first.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Verification of PA Residency
    • This can be completed during class orientation or on the first day of class. You must be able to
      provide us with Proof of Residency with a valid state ID, license, or Passport. These items must
      have been no earlier than two years prior to your application. If these items do not date back two
      years, you must provide us with another document (i.e. bank statement, utility bill) dating back
      two years, covering the unverified time of your other ID.

Application must be completed and mailed/emailed to The Rapha School no later than a month prior to the start of the program. Two letters of recommendation must be included.

This form must be completed and returned to The Rapha School no later than a week prior to the beginning of the program. If you have a recent physical (no more than a year old) that shows evidence of all information required by this form then we will accept a copy.
